Season 6 Games 9 to 12

Game 9: BUFC 0-0 Billville
Newly promoted Billville are the visitors today and they have worked hard to get where they are  I remember trying to sign their goalkeeper and founder, Bill Curry in the (very) early days when the current league system was barely a glimmer in the eyes of the devs! And Bills team prove they are no push-over here too  in a tightly contested first half that see BUFC take the lead through a Bimbo strike late in the half to go in one up. No doubt lifted by Bills halftime talk the visitors equalise early on and set the home fans muttering as they expected an easy win today. With Billville fighting hard, its the fitter Boston side that eventually secure the three points, as Bimbo heads home the second from Phoenixs cross.2-goal Bimbo picks up the MoM award, but many of the players feel it should have gone to the Billville captain and keeper, Bill Curry for his outstanding display in goal that kept his side in with a shout!

Bimbo applauds Curry's fine display

Game 10: BUFC 3-0 Sadistic Legacy
In a run of home games, its the passionate Legacy boys who are our opponents today and usually these games are closely contested affairs. Both sides have quality players all over the park and its no surprise that much of the action is focussed on the midfield. Its Bostons German international, Matze who gets the best of this and provides a telling pass to allow Phoenix to score the only goal in the first half.Sad Leg come back at us at the start of the second half, but Bostons defence hold fast and Bimbo puts the home side two up on 65 minutes. This seems to take the wind out of the opponents sails and they dont seem able to muster the energy to fight much more. Phonix finally puts them to the sword in the dying minutes to take all 3 points and put BUFC back up to 2nd place in the league. Bimbo celebrates by taking his second MoM award in a row and the home fans are elated to see their team near the top again!

Game 11: BUFC 1-4 Logalers
The agony and the ecstasy in what is our fifth home game in a row, the Boston fans are hoping their side can push on again and take the top spot, but todays visitors, The Logalers have different ideas.Boston are really caught napping as the Logs are out of the blocks first and rapidly take a 3-nil lead. Both the crowd and the players look stunned and things only settle a little when Bimbo gets one back for Boston close to halftime, from a Matze through-ball.AJs team talk helps to puts a bit more steel in defence in the second half, but results in Iama picking up her first yellow card of the season. Tiring and running out of ideas, Boston can do little about the Logs assault. Whilst pushing forward they are caught out again, as the visitors score their fourth and leave with all the spoils today, dropping BUFC to 4th in the table at the same time.

Game 12: BraveHearts 1-1 BUFC
Were off to visit the Braves today and our attempt to challenge their table-topping ways is not helped when Boston bad-boy, Mickey decides to extend his already dubious disciplinary record. This time he receives a straight red for his two-footed lunge on the Braves midfielder, Leigh Connor after only 17 minutes on the pitch.Bostons recent international signing, the German midfielder Matze opens his BUFC account by crafting a solo, wonder goal on 38 minutes. He dribbles from his own half through the Braves defence, to score and send his side in 1-nil up at halftime. Ten-man Boston fought hard in the second half and just as the travelling fans thought we might pull off an unlikely win, Dekybhoy snatched a late equaliser, meaning we only come away with a single, but well-deserved point!
