Season 19 - P3 Finish
Its been a long time coming but we have some silverware in the BUFC trophy cabinet at last - the bronze cup for our third place finish in the current season - huzzah!!!
The season saw some impressive performances - starting with our strike-force, Bimbo and JW who managed to notch up a mighty 122 goals between them! In the end it was JW who finished top scorer with 66 goals - well done to him! Our midfielders chipped in with a couple as well, Mickey netted two and Whitters scored his first BUFC goal from the penalty spot when he was brought down by the Geronimo keeper.
In total then we scored an impressive 129 goals this season - but even more impressive in my opinion is the work put in by our defence at Boston United! In all we only conceded a total of 24 goals!!! and our keeper, the mighty Gunny kept an outstanding 21 clean sheets from the 34 games this season! A big well done to her and her back four boys!!!
The management and Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players for their hard work throughout this and all the preceding seasons to get the club to where it is today! A proud day for Boston United... thanks everyone!
