Season 6 Games 21 to 24

Game 21: BUFC 1-5 London UFC
The London boys visit us today and were hoping to keep the winning streak going. Unfortunately its not to be as BUFC get hung out to dry  quite literally, by the London striker James Hung! He scores a hat-trick against the normally unbeatable Gunny. His strike partner Strider, whos lucky to still be on the pitch following a horrendous challenge on 4 minutes that only earns a yellow, gets the other two goals.Earlier Phoenix got the solitary Boston goal to make it 1-1 at the time, but we had few other real chances against a team we often seem to struggle against. Hopefully Boston can rise from the ashes of this game as we drop to 6th place.

Game 22: OUFC 0-0 BUFC
After a disappointing showing in our last match, dedicated fans of BUFC travel away with us to OUFC hoping for better things today. Once again though things dont start well when our Czech international midfield, Ulpetr gets himself sent off after only 10 minutes. We battle on with 10 men, but struggle to make many opportunities. At the other end the defence are busy against the OUFC attack and Gunny makes three good saves to keep us in the game. The game ends a disappointing 0-0 draw and we slip another place down to 7th in the league. Things are tight though and just 2 points separates four teams between 4th and 7th place. Next up its Tank for us!

Game 23: BUFC 2-4 Tank FC
Once again Boston host the mighty Tank and our defence are dug in and Gunny has been laying tank-traps in her penalty area. Even so we cant stop the Tank strikers charging through and opening the scoring inside 5 minutes. We fight back though and both Bimbo and Phoenix also manage to get their names on the score sheet before halftime and we are glad to go in drawing 2-2.Gunny has decided that the only way to stop their forwards is to hack them down and promptly receives a yellow card for her efforts  but once again she proves just why she is on of he leagues top keepers by saving the resultant penalty. Sadly however, she cant stop their next onslaught and finally it is man of the match and the leagues no. 1 midfielder, Chumbawamba who puts the final nail in Bostons coffin, as we go down to a 4-2 home defeat.

Game 24: Fog Squad 3-0 BUFC
A tired looking Boston travel to the Squad today and the red mist seems to descend at kick off, as we get caught napping and they rapidly take a two goal lead. We seem to have run out of ideas and make few chances to get back in the game. The second half is unfortunately more of the same and it is only thanks to Gunny in goal that the score remains respectable. In the end they pick up a third and we trudge off the pitch well beaten. All we need now is fog on the motorway on the way home in the team coach back to Boston! Still, cheer up its Pab next..!!!
